Very friendly and helpful staff. We just stopped overnight but it seems like a great place to spend a few days. Lots of shade and very friendly neighbors.
The wife and I arrived at the campground and were greeted to a warm welcome. We were planning on staying a month or more, but shortly after being there my wife got deadly sick, not once but twice. It wasn't from anything at the campground, but an internal bacteria called C-Diff. The owners and their staff were very supportive and concerned for us, as were our 2 camping neighbors. two lovely ladies. I am planning on going back this year and hoping for a much better vacation. We stayed overnight in route to our son's in Texas. The office staff was friendly and efficient. The access road was rough put short- few 100 feet. The pull through site was tight with trees entering and exiting the site we had. There were a lot of trees on the grounds. The site was not level. There were also a lot of long term residents with unkempt sites. The location did workout well for one night.
Very courteous staff. I called at noon for a reservation for the night and they asked my last name and said they'd have a site! No hassle at all. The grounds are close to I40. Sites are gravel, road is gravel and though we arrived on a stormy, windy night it seems very nice though we weren't outside much. I didn't rate the bathrooms since we didn't use them.
Stayed twice, Park is very convenient to interstate. First visit, our site was OK - enough room, level, and clean. Second visit, the site was so small we couldn't open the slide and barely had room to open the door due to trees. Neither site was wide enough to open awning without hitting trees. Tried to change but were told that other sites were reserved but they were still vacant when we left. Utilities and WI-FI worked fine. Numerous permanent residents with really shabby rigs/sites. Stayed here one night. Quiet with decent size lots, gravel lots and roads. Wifi was good. Cable was good. The campground could be a really nice place if they trimmed the weeds, mowed and did some maintenance on the swings, buildings, and grounds. They did have some permanent, old RVs that where dirty, windows had duct tape on them, and junk all around them. One guy worked on his electrical box until it got dark. We made sure we locked all our storage compartments.
