We stayed there 2 nights and was very happy with the park. Had a nice large shaded site with pad, but was not level at all. the grounds was nice and the rangers were helpful. the bathrooms are nice and clean, but a little old. the check-in was confusing, so if you have a reservation just go to the site and set up. The ranger comes around later. The park some great falls, but the hike to them is rough. Our only big complaint is the woman in the museum she was rude and that if she talked to you at... Read More

This is among my favorite spots to camp, and my wife and I are on track to stay here several times each year. The area is a Native American ceremonial area, and there are trails to see the mound so important to them and the area. The iron bridge to the campground is fairly narrow, but our camper fit through it with no issue. The campground is quite peaceful, and there are lots of squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and the occassional deer to keep things interesting. There are three or four roundabouts... Read More
This is among my favorite spots to camp, and my wife and I are on track to stay here several times each year. The area is a Native American ceremonial area, and there are trails to see the mound so important to them and the area. The iron bridge to the campground is fairly narrow, but our camper fit through it with no issue. The campground is quite peaceful, and there are lots of squirrels, chipmunks, raccoons, and the occassional deer to keep things interesting. There are three or four roundabouts in the campground, and navigating them is fairly easy - so is backing into the camping spots. The museum and souvenir store are nice, and everyone we met who worked in the area was super nice. Firewood is available nearby at a local store, and there is a family owned trading post-style store neaby for fuel, sandwiches, and the expected camp items. We've been to this site many times and will certainly return many more in the future!

From Jct of I-24 & Hwy 53 (exit 110), W 0.8 mi on Hwy 53 to US-41, N 0.7 mi (L). CAUTION: Must drive over narrow bridge (11 ft wide) to get to campground. 10 ton wt limit for 2 axles, 18 ton for 3 axles.
