We had an unexpected stay in Abilene and were pleased we could make online reservations for a same day arrival. The park personnel were friendly, the park store had basic necessities for purchase, the pool looked inviting, and there was a nice play area for families. There were several overnighters, like us, and we were in pull through spaces. The spaces were narrow, but at an angle that made it possible to open shades and see greenery and not just the neighbors. Although next to a busy interstate,... Read More

The road conditions are needing improvement as there were many potholes. We would stay here again.

We arrived after a big rainstorm. The sites and roads on the camp held water. The setting was reasonable but not something for a long term stay. We stayed at this campground for one night only. The camp was clean and had a nice dog park. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a nice park.

This is a clean park with easy access from I-20. Interior park roads are a mixture of paved, patched, and gravel. All sites are gravel. Most sites have trees, some hang low enough to hit higher coaches and 5th wheel trailers. Pets are allowed, but bring bags for pet wast as they are not provided in the park. The park is in an area of Texas that has limited rain, but if you happen to be here during a big rain (does not happen very often) be aware the park is in a flood zone. It is the best park...
