In my opinion, it is best to avoid this park. On arrival just after 4pm, the office was already closed. Our assigned pull-thru offered no shade in 100 degree temperatures, and the area was crawling with ants. The park is located miles outside town, and while it is close to the interstate, it felt isolated. Without staff being available for check-in, we felt the park offered very little value for the money. The pool appeared to be green, with visible algae growing on the sides. When we contacted... We were very disappointed with the overall feel of the park, and decided not to stay. We moved to another Good Sam park in Fort Stockton. The pool water at the new park was blue and clear, and overall the park offered far better service, support and comfort.

Fort Stockton could be your base for Big Bend National Park, but we found the distance interfered with our time at the park. However, there is only only full hook up park in Big Bend.

Spent the night here. Still a little bit from Ft Stockton. Close to freeway but not noisy. Restraunt on premises didn’t eat here but a lot of people were. Minimumal shade available Pool was not very clean nor really warm enough to get in. Check in was very smooth but there is no guide to your site. Rows are marked well. Easy on and easy Ft entrance to freeway both directions.
This was an over night stay for us between San Antonio to Roswell. I only give over night parks a 3 star simply because of my limited stay. No problems checking in, WiFi was so so, cable was ok not many channels If I recall correctly. The site was a gravel pull through that was relatively level, I've seen worse. Water pressure was good. Appeared to be an old KOA which may have seen it's better days, but it's being kept up. Lots of over-niter's coming in after me, and leaving early as me too. I... Read More

We really enjoyed out stay. Because of time constraints we did not eat in the on site restaurant. The dog park was absolutely amazing. Not only was it very clean but large enough for my border collie to run around and chase a frisbee. This was great for him to have a break from the drive each day in our car. The internet was GREAT. We were able to stream without any issues. I'm hoping for the chance to visit this park again.
The Fort Stockton RV Park is bad disrepair as the roads are a crumbling mess, sites are not level, and utility hookups make no sense at all. The Camp hosts were extremely rude. The WIFI was so-so when it worked (which was not often). Most of the people staying here are overnighters that pull in late and leave early. We stayed here for 6 nights over Thanksgiving in a travel trailer. It is next to the freeway but the noise was minimal. I would not stay here again.
Super nice campground, stayed 2 nights to rest up after running from the hurricanes. The cafe on site has some really good food. Really recommend this campground.
Stayed one night as we traveled down I10. Easy in and out of the park. Our site was level. We did not use the restrooms or other facilities, so can't comment on those. The staff was friendly and courteous. We'll stay here again the next time we're headed that way.
We stopped here on our way home to AZ. We were traveling in a newly bought motorhome, so stopped here because they advertised a cafe. When we went to sign up for dinner, they weren't open because they had a problem in their kitchen. So-- no dinner, and in the morning--no breakfast. Very disappointing. Also, the gal in the office was on the phone chit chatting to a friend, ignoring us, very unbusiness-like. Probably wouldn't stop here again. Never used laundry or bathroom facilities.
The facility is nice enough, but I didn't find the staff to be particularly friendly or welcoming. I arrived after the office was closed (5:00 PM). The little map they left me showing my spot with arrows had me pulling in backwards. There was no way to hookup if I pulled in the way the map instructed me to. But if I pulled in the other way, it would have taken the spot next to me. Finally a host came by on a golf cart to tell me which way to pull in. He wasn't rude, but he wasn't friendly at all.... He seemed annoyed that I couldn't figure out how to pull in based on the incorrect map that was left for me. The spot wasn't very level or wide either, so I had to hassle with leveling.
It wasn't an awful experience, but I'll choose somewhere else next time that's a bit more appreciative and treats me like a customer, rather than an inconvenience.

Would not recommend this park for a stop over especially if you hope to get some sleep. Cant comment on the rest of the facilities as we did not use them. Beware......It is so sad......BT

The campground was a very pleasant place to spend a week. The sites were spacious and well-treed for being on the edge of the Chihuahuan Desert. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unique in my experience, the campground had its own little cafe on-site, for breakfast and supper, with excellent chicken-fried steak. The wifi was adequate, much better than the black hole I had been in previously, so I was able to get some work done.
A welcome rest on the long I10 drive. This was our very first RV campground. I told the desk when we checked in. The staff was very nice. Unfortunately, someone totally flattened half of our septic hose during the night. It was about 3 feet of hose so no way was it an accident. The breakfast in the morning was pretty good and the kids enjoyed the pool.
This RV park has a lot of charm to it. The spots are perfectly sized, grass all around, great dog run. Bathrooms clean, tidy. The onsite Caf, is the best. Driving in at dinner time was wonderful to order dinner and park, then walk over and pick it up! They have a cute caf, to eat in, but with a dog in tow, easier to eat at RV.
They truly are an oasis in the West Texas desert. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The little cafe boasts having the state's best chicken fried steak. When I arrived I had forgotten to tell them I was moderately handicapped and my assigned site was at the far end of the campgroung. I asked if I could move to a pull through site closer to the cafe and office. They not only readily agreed but took me back to my site in their golf cart. I used to stay here in a Class A so I know they can handle any size rig in a pull through. Sites are far enough apart to offer some privacy, but large enough to open double slides. Many of the sites are shaded. The only down side was that the sewer connection at my site was too far for my hose to reach, but the store had an extension. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this park before. We were here for two nights. Park is clean with gravel roads and sites. Hook-ups easy. Staff was friendly park is quite for being right on 10 access is easy off the freeway. We will stop again on our way next year.
Check in was easy and the people are very friendly. We stayed here for one night in our 41' 5th Wheel, plenty of room. The campgrounds were neat and clean, we did not use the restrooms. There was a great big dog park area we used and our Huskies loved it. The Road Runner cafe was great great. We would stay here again.
Friendly staff and nice park. The site wasn't as level as I would have liked and the septic hook up is clear to the back of the site making it a tough go for the one night stay. Overall it was ok. Good rates though.
This park is beautiful. Such a well-cared-for park is unusual. The only drawback is the road getting into the park, but that is offset by the quietness and the niceness. I could not rate the restrooms because I never went in there.
Check in staff was very cheerful and professional. Knowledgeable on "things to do in the area". Traffic flow very good and organized. Site was very level, albeit hard packed gravel. Nice small shade trees abound as well as native cactus. Good sized swimming pool with lounging area in tree shaded area. WiFi is best we've experienced in an RV park. The Roadrunner Cafe in located in same building as office. Limited fare and typical for small cafe. Convenience is key. Blue Bell ice cream cup served with each meal. Park is very easy to access from I-10. There is some freeway noise but if you pick a site nearer the office and entrance it will lessen the traffic noise. We like "white noise" when we sleep so this was not a problem for us. Full hook ups, great water pressure. $36/nt with Good Sam discount for class A with tow car. Would definitely stay again if coming through the area. We stayed two nights. Park was very open which would be typical in July.

Nice cafe on site to eat at if you don't feel like cooking. If you are looking for a park with paved interior roads, manicured lawns and sardine tight sites, this site is probably not for you. If you keep in mind that this is west TX where water is at a premium, it's all good.

Quiet stay. Small playground for kids. Cute decor near office. Great in house restaurant. Huge breakfast portions!
After a long drive across Texas, this little oasis offered a little bit of home. Despite all of the barren countryside, this little park was like a garden. You could see the consideration of the owners in hospitality, We were overnight guests, but could have stayed longer. The air was warm, but not hot and the birds in the trees were playful and noisy, but like I said it was like a little touch of home. Don't miss the Roadrunner Cafe. Nice folks. Lots were spacious and level.
the park fills up every nite there is not much else here for camping, pull thru sites are real tight but doable, the restraunt is good food priced right, restrooms are big but showers are real tight, but than I am 6'4 all in all nice campground will stay here again when we come back thru.
Private RV park (old KOA) in Fort Stockton, just off of I-10. Overall the RV park is in average condition, although they were working on some improvements. This is our second stay here. Not much has changed since our first visit in February 2016. Gravel driveways and site pads, full hookups, decent bathrooms, WiFi service and cable connection. Due to the location it gets lots of one night stopovers from those traveling on I-10. We used the laundry facility this time which has lots of machines, $1.25 for wash, $2.00 for dry. We paid $33 per night with Good Sam discount.
Pleasantly surprised. Office VERY helpful, pool is heated salt water pool, very nice. The little cafe is surprisingly good. Although they don't serve wine or beer, you can bring it in. Simple southern type fare, very good. Good value. The dog run is great, but no shade. There are two marvelous baby trees that will be great in time. The park has had an ownership change and they're trying to fix it up. Would definitely stay here again.
A nice park. Nice people. Really decent facilities. Poor WiFi.
This is the second time we've stayed here. We tried another campground down the road once. Never again. Fort Stockton RV Park is great. Friendly people, nice little cafe, nice dog park, level sites, and all utilities work fine.
Nicely updated from stay in 2013. Bathroom and showers clean and inviting. Strongest WiFi ever experienced with towers all over the grounds. Cafe for dinner and breakfast an excellent choice. Grounds well maintained and neat. Large dog park area. Pool completely redone since last visit. Very friendly staff. If schedule permitted we would add several days to our stay.
Excellent park, very helpful and friendly staff. The cafe has very good food, and very fair for the price,
We stayed one night on a pull through, level, gravel site. They were very pleasant and helpful. There is an on-site cafe that serves dinner and breakfast,,,we ate breakfast and it was delicious. Other than our full service hook-ups, we did not need any other services. We would stay again,
This in the overall nicest RV park we have stayed at in over 5000 miles and three weeks. Two friendly and helpful staffers registered us. Next to the office is a caf, serving homemade breakfast and dinner. Fenced dog park is large and grassy. Sites are level with green grass islands between sites. Electric power-voltage from the pedestals is excellent. The WIFI works great. This the first park on our trip where the cable TV works. Lots of channels with great reception. I will stay here again!
Good park and staff was very friendly. Kids loved the pool and playground. Good stop for cross-Texas drive.
Overall, nice experience. We decided to stay an extra day. Staff was very nice. Very pet friendly. Bathrooms were clean and great water temp and pressure. We had breakfast in the caf, limited menu and operating times, though but good for a bite before hitting the road. It's minutes from town so there are other choices as long as you like Mexican food. Well organized. Nice welcome. Fabulous food! Nice that they cooked meals for the campers! Kind of pieced together - everything looks handmade! Enjoyed our one night.
Only stayed 1 night. People were great very helpful. Be sure and try out the little cafe food was great.
Old antiquated restrooms, however, they were clean. Since wifi is important to me I gave it a score of 3 overall because the wifi was unsatisfactory. I wish the parks would not advertise wifi if it is substandard. Range extender could not even bring it in because it was such a weak signal. Very dusty park since sites are gravel and we were placed on front row next to the entrance road. Staff was very friendly.

Great overnight stay, right off I 10. Lots of easy pull throughs & fairly level gravel pads. On site restaurant was fabulous! Good home cooked food with terrific service. Great when you have been traveling all day! Pool looked nice but it was cold & windy. Some full timers but off to the side.
The location from 10 was good. The staff was very friendly and the food in the caf, was very good. The washroom facilities were kept clean but in need of serious repair. The vanities and walls were warped and disgusting from being hosed down, new fixtures and remodeling are desperately need. The park was rated a 9/9/9, it was not even close to that rating.
Older park... needs a little TLC - Staff was very helpful... Very hard to level out - we had to move and it still wasn't the greatest... Diner on site was nice, but did not plan well and ran out of stuff...
Like a lot of parks this is an old KOA. Because of the oil and gas industry it has under gone explosive expansion. The roads are very rough with lots of potholes and asphalt turned to gravel because of the traffic. Upkeep on the grounds and general cleanliness seems to have suffered with the influx of people. They need to move the picnic tables when they mow. Along with the long term residents came dogs, a lot of dogs. A workamper was nice enough to warn us of the ones to watch out for.
The sites were grass and gravel, pretty level with mature trees in the old KOA section. Utilities were convenient, cable and w-fi were OK.
There are bathrooms in the main office bldg. as well as a free-standing bldg. back in the old park. This bldg. was handy and adequately clean, so we used it and its all-in-one bathrooms. They needed a little repair of small items but nothing serious.
This park is just looking over used and tired. It needs some attention.
I was disappointed to see the very large number of Confederate Battle Flags displayed by the workers. This was not one or two but a high concentration, trailer after trailer. This is not our National Flag; this is a statement and not welcome in this sensitive times we live in. As a Veteran it saddened me. This is not the flag I served under. Even more surprising our National Flag, the Stars and Stripes, was not in evidence anywhere, not even on the empty pole at the office. The management apparently condones this massive display of Confederate Flags.
We will not return.

Stayed here over night on our way to Arizona, conveniently to get to off of I10. The staff was very friendly. The park is old and the electricial outlets had low voltage causing the A/C breaker to trip. The staff was very helpful with solving the problem. This was in mid summer in Texas.
Not a bad place to stay
On our way home & stayed here overnight. Friendly staff. Attractive park with plenty of tree covered space. Lots of amenities. Conveniently just off I10, but no road noise when we were there.
We stay here on our way to hospitals in Houston. The staff at the front office are always so courteous - nice park - level sites. Restaurant is excellent and it's nice at the end of a day to be able to order food and not have to cook. We enjoy our stay here - it's a nice oasis in the middle of the desert. Our thanks to the owners and staff!
Park is quite old and as most in the area has long term residents. It does have a caf, on site although we did not use it as well as a pool. Adequate for overnight travel stop.
