Excellent park in Rio Grande Valley with some of the most spacious sites available. Wide variety of activities but limited due to Covid this year again. Definite need for additional pickleball courts and shuffleboard. Outdoor activities allow social distancing and the ability to meet others. One pickleball court which is always in use every morning and most afternoons. 8-12 people waiting to play a game means lots of "dead time" when they could be playing. We realize that outdoor activities are... Read More

If not....they will continue to look elsewhere for their housing needs in future years.
Suggest addition of recycling bins down by the garbage cans to help our planet Earth as much as possible.

We had reservations for the month of April. While the landscaping is quite attractive and well maintained, they should consider spending some of the landscaping budget on a better free WiFi system. The "free" WiFi is virtually non existent. When I told the office personnel that there was no or very weak signal they told me to call the wifi provider. They offered little hope of a stronger signal. They did say that we could get faster speed if we were staying two months and would pay for the additional... Read More

The showers were adequate but not cleaned regularly, the same dead spiders were to be found each day as well as the same trash in the waste basket. This during the Covid19 outbreak. Does not instill confidence in the cleanliness of the restrooms and showers. The excuse from the office was that the cleaning person had lost her help and was overloaded. They were going to "talk" to her.
We decided to leave early because of this. Of course, no refund was offered.
For these reasons I will most likely not be staying at this RV resort again.

My first winter as a full-time RV nomad. Bentsen Palm Village was 1 of 3 spots in south Texas we stayed at Jan-Mar 2020. Bentsen Palm was far and away the best. A little more expensive, but worth every penny. Lots of activities and the absolute best group of seasonal work campers I have come across during my first 12 months full-timing. I will be back for another winter if possible in the next couple of years.
Unique place great layout very beautiful park, the dog park was excellent,
We spent the past three winters at BPV and love it here. Best RV park in the area. We've looked at dozens of other RV parks in the RGV and BPV is the nicest by far. Nice layout, spacious lots and great people. We plan to return next winter!
This is definitely one of the top RV Resorts in The Rio Grande Valley and is Big Rig Friendly for our 44 foot long Class A Motorhome. Management supervision is top notch and everything seems to be done on a regular schedule by both employees, friendly workkampers and landscape contractors. The rules and regulations are enforced and safety seems to be a priority. Mail and package delivery is handled very well. We have been here since October 1, 2019 and plan to leave on May 1, 2020 and have already... Read More

We have been here since October 1, 2019 and plan to leave on May 1, 2020 and have already made reservations to return next Winter. The Woodshop is first-rate and managed by some truly great and friendly people who helped my wife accomplish her projects. The Western Fashion Show was great fun for her, and the regular entertainment and dances were some of our favorite activities, complete with great margaritas. We liked getting to know everyone here, and it was fun to connect with the very friendly Canadians that make this one of their repeat stops year after year. Being less than a mile from the Mexican border also gives this such a nice International feel, and the locals are great families to get to know, so friendly to us. Access to healthcare here is also very good. We met countless wonderful and fascinating people here and look forward to our return.

We stayed here for only five weeks this winter, from just before New Years Eve to February 3rd and thoroughly enjoyed it. What makes it so nice are the people who stay there as well as the facilities and activities. Each night, there was an informal get together in our "Wedge" area of the campground (See layout map), and the people were quite welcoming. Many of those who stay here stay for several months and have been doing so for years, but they are quite open to new people coming to join them. On Wednesday night, there is an informal meeting at the Community Center at which there are announcements of upcoming events for the next seven days followed by a pitch-in dinner. The Resort plans many activities including cards, trips to area attractions, educational activities including shooting, dancing and kayak classes, and provides facilities for pickle-ball, shuffleboard and an extremely well equipped wood shop with assistance for those who need it. There is a bird sanctuary and State Park within walking distance, and the Resort is within an hour or so drive to South Padre Island for fishing and dolphin tours, birding, shopping and just relaxing. We looked at other RV parks in the area, have actually stayed at one, and will only go back to Bentsen Palms Village Resort in the future.

Excellent facility. Sites are nice and paved. Many activities. People at the park are very friendly. Would highly recommend.
Best RV part we have ever been in. Been camping and RVn for over 50 years.
What a delightful place to stay for a night or a month. Super friendly staff to help with any need; immaculately clean restrooms and showers; superb fitness center; free bikes and kayaks for guests. We would stay again in a heartbeat, but next time much longer than the three nights we stayed the first time.
Lots to offer but no hot water in one shower for months with no attention to that at all. Poor relations with guests at the office and are rude to say the least. Also rumored that there will be no truck campers allowed next year!?!?!? Expensive and not my type of camping but lots of outdoor fun to be had in the awesome surroundings. The campers there make it fun too with margarita nights and get togethers (also not my thing but others like it).
