We came here for the 4th of July with a very large group. We reserved our sites months in advance. Get there and NONE of us are in the site we reserved. We were all scattered out which makes everyone have to walk a ways to get to each other. We addressed this with the manager or owner or someone in charge. We had reservations for Labor Day that we almost cancelled because of this issue. But decided to keep our booking. Here it is Labor Day and we are once AGAIN NOTin the sites we reserved in February!!!... Read More

Here it is Labor Day and we are once AGAIN NOTin the sites we reserved in February!!! We’re all spread out again. The ppl mowing have slung rocks at our camper, and just come up in the middle of your site while your camping and mow and weed eat. This is a very nice park. But I think it is NOT for weekenders looking to have fun. It geared more toward long term campers. Which are paying a monthly price which is far less than the $50 a night we are paying. Some of the long term campers have made it look like trailer trash. We enjoyed the amenities available here. When you camp with a large group (7+ Campers) you do not want to be separated. We will NOT be visiting this park again.

This used to be a lovely place to stay! We started coming here for major holidays weekends just after opening and loved the family-friendly atmosphere. Their bathrooms are very nice and the salt-water swimming pool is a nice touch! However, the management has since turned this place into an uninviting trailer park. We bring a large group for the holiday weekends and always book sites together, however, the last two times we've been they've moved us around because the sites we booked "the people... Read More

We bring a large group for the holiday weekends and always book sites together, however, the last two times we've been they've moved us around because the sites we booked "the people haven't moved out yet" so we've had to deal with being separated. After being frustrated about this, we were told "it's growing pains we are dealing with" but no resolve. If the park wants to cater to the long-term guests with no rules, just be honest and don't allow short-term guests. Let's talk about the grounds....they have NO rules. The first few times we visited the sites were clean and well maintained. However, they've allowed their long-term guests to do whatever they want between the already small spaces. Some spaces literally have trashed piled around their site, one camper had an old trashed couch outside their camper, large children's swimming pools that haven't been maintained, etc. Just imagine, trashy trailer park and you have pictured Camp Langston. I expect so much more from a $50/night establishment and won't be returning to the camp.

The owners are super nice and friendly and have owned the park for a little over a year and are making improvements. It has great potential, but calling it a resort is a stretch. Definitely needs some TLC and has some rough edges. It's a beautiful piece of property. There were several places we would have liked to explore, but the grass/weeds needed mowing., so we had to stay on the road or the park grounds. They have a dog walk area, but nothing fenced. There were several places we would have liked to explore, but the grass/weeds needed mowing., so we had to stay on the road or the park grounds. They have a dog walk area, but nothing fenced. If you are a fisherperson, the lakes look like they could have some nice bass in them. Lots of areas to hike, but take your long pants and some chigger spray. Pool is enclosed and looked nice. There was a big well mowed playground area and lots of kids having a good time. The sites are pretty close together and there is no shade (except when the sun goes down we were told). All sites and roads are gravel which looks like it was put in recently, so no potholes to speak of. The sites and the acreage around the pool and office was well maintained. The new owners are trying hard to make it a resort, it will just take some time and a lot of money to get there. Also, as a side note, when driving to the park, if coming from the east, you will exit off I30 and go over the overpass. Do not take the first left as it looks like a frontage road, but is only an entrance to I30 going east (guess how we know?!). Go past that road and take the left that is just a few yards past that road and the entrance will be on the right a ways down that road.
