In fact, from an artistic approach, the abundance of yellow sunflowers, coupled with the reds/creams of the canyon, and the clear, texas blue of the sky make for excellent photography.
If I ever find myself going through North Texas again, I will definitely be back to this site and the state park.

Caprock Canyons State Park is a very clean destination. Campsites are well-kept and easy to get into and out of. There is a bison herd that will amaze you, as you drive or hike. Multiple hiking trails with excellent scenery.
