Great campground! It is surrounded by a large nature preserve that has biking and hiking trails. Also across the road from the campground are public boat ramps for kyaks and boats. The only downside is if you need to come through the CBBT, which is expensive.

The Takeaway: not the typical KOA this is a popular resort just north of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel that is always full. The Jackspot restaurant serves respectable burgers and crab cake sandwiches along with a full service bar bordering their private sandy beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Amenities abound with a caf,, restaurant/bar, exercise room, arcade room, two pools, complimentary shuttle, etc. Sites are grass and not level with a backyard that is on top of your neighbors, however this is... Just came back from a week spent at this wonderful campground. Can't say enough good things about it!! We didn't have much experience with KOAs so weren't quite sure what exactly to expect. What a great place!! Right near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel, just a bit away from the adorable little town of Cape Charles. Our site was a 50 amp pull through not far from the beach entrance. Site was grassy and roomy, out in the total sun. It was a terrible heat wave while we were there but the... Read More

Camp store is great for souvenirs and soda, etc. The beach is terrific!! Jackspot, the tiki bar is right there with yummy food and drink. Pool facilities were excellent, even includes a little splash pad type area for kids. Very definitely worth the trip from Michigan. We will be back!!!

We stayed here for 3 nights on the Deluxe Patio site, #232. We had 3 other RV's with us. The sites were large enough for my 34' Toy Hauler and my F250 truck. The Deluxe Patio sites have very nice 15 x 15 foot wooden decks with nice chairs, we never used our own chairs. Being on the Chesapeake Bay, there is wind sometimes very strong. Knowing this, we decided not to put out our awning. We did see some people put out their awnings and the wind caught them. Some were damaged. There are a large number... Read More

We had 2 seasonal sites that didn't follow ths Quite Hours, 11:00 pm. One night there were 2 sites that played music until 1:30 am the other night was until 12:00am. I called the Night Auditor phone number and within 15 minutes, the Staff arrived and talked to these people. The scenery off the Bay is spectacular. The staff was terrific and the Camp Store is open 24/7. If you are looking for a Resort with scenery, consider this facility.

We spent 4 nights at this park very early in the season, so there were not many other RVs at all and things weren't hopping like they would be during the regular season. It's a very nice park and easy to navigate getting in and out. They have a private beach area which we really enjoyed and it is off leash which was great for the dog to explore the beach freely. They have a bar down on the beach with really nice decks, but again while we were there, not too much going on, I'm sure when the... Read More

The pool and bath houses are great, this is probably the nicest RV park in the area and the staff is very friendly too!

This is really a wonderful campground full of amenities. They have a store, two restaurants, a pool, off leash dog park and off leash dog beach. Our pups had a blast and were worn out every night. They have decent sized sites that are easily navigated with great hookups. They are grass with traction mats and were not perfectly level but good enough not to cause concern. There were picnic tables and fir rings at most of them but not all of them. The utilities worked without incident and the wifi... Read More

They have decent sized sites that are easily navigated with great hookups. They are grass with traction mats and were not perfectly level but good enough not to cause concern. There were picnic tables and fir rings at most of them but not all of them. The utilities worked without incident and the wifi was exceptional all across the park. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. They are a new park and I am sure only going to improve with time. The only reason they did not get a perfect rating is that we prefer a paved site and the grass at our site was thin and would have been muddy if it had rained. We had no issues and will definitely return.
