We camped here in July 2018. We were fortunate that it didn't rain. Unfortunately the black flies were horrible. They bit as bad as mosquitoes do in the lower regions of VA. Can't blame the park for that, it's the mountains. We stayed on a site toward the rear not far from the bathhouse and playground. Kids will love this place, it has several pools, a splash area and water slides. Playground is big and they have laser tag up the mountain. Putt putt is on the outside of the park and needs updating.... Read More

Kids will love this place, it has several pools, a splash area and water slides. Playground is big and they have laser tag up the mountain. Putt putt is on the outside of the park and needs updating. We played anyway and had fun. I heard about a hiking trail but didn't get to use it. We were across from the outdoor theater but unfortunately there was no movie played the weekend we visited. Kid's thought it was cool and were bummed when nothing was shown. There were some groups that partied all night (I mean until dawn). They were loud and disrespectful of those near them. Quiet time was not enforced this weekend. We had AC to keep the noise out but I felt bad for the tent campers near us, they had small children. Camp store is packed with more than you will ever need. Pricing wasn't terrible. I found I didn't have and kids sunscreen and the price I paid was about the same as other stores. The bathrooms are the best I've seen at any campground. Updated, air conditioned and clean every time I went in. Park is large and situated on a hill. We rented a golf cart because we knew we would be in the upper area. Real shame to have to waste money when I have my own. If you do bring one, they won't let you even unload it. While this is a nice campground, the cost for a weekend is outrageous. We didn't even have a premium site and I spent over $400. Site itself was close to $300 for FHU with gravel parking but no cement pad (not allowed to use your rug so grass comes in with you). I camp on the eastern shore for a week every summer for the same amount I spent here at a larger campground with similar amenities. While we had a good time (except for the flies), I doubt we will return.

We took the grandkids here (4 and 6) to see Luray Caverns and give their parents a long weekend break. Very nice! We had a nice concrete pad and patio. Toasted marshmallows on the fire ring, and rented a golf cart for a day. The grandkids ran themselves until tired. The water park was great, the water slides were good and the miniature golf was fun (although they should vacuum the greens a bit more!). Camp staff friendly and very helpful. Camp store attractive and well-stocked. The bouncy... Read More

Camp store attractive and well-stocked. The bouncy balloon feature was a hit and just running up and down the large field in the middle helped burn off the excess energy. Our two older dogs were welcome and we were right next to the dog park as well. Just the wife and I are going to come back in November for a couple of nights for a last getaway before winter. The concrete sites, condition of the park, nicely paved roads and setting makes it a great place to stay - even if you don't have kids. Besides, we didn't get to try out the hiking trail at the top of the campground.....

We stayed in our camper for four nights in late July 2017. Great campground. Very clean. Recently paved roads, recently remodeled bath houses. The staff were all kind and friendly. Plenty of activities to keep everyone busy if you choose. Unlike some campgrounds, they clearly post the hours for their amenities. The only area for opportunity is the arcade. More than half the machines were not working. Other than that our stay was all we could ask for. We will not hesitate to come back.

A great place to take kids. This is a destination campground. There is something scheduled every hour for the kids. The place is also gated and fenced so you can let your children roam and they will be safe. In addition they have miniature golf, paddle boats, a great pool, slide and water park, hay rides, outdoor movie theater and other things. The facilities are top notch. The location is close to Skyline Drive and Luray Caverns. There is also a cool Zip Line facility right next door (walking... Read More

The price is not cheap but it is a good value if you consider what it includes. Its starts with very nice, well maintained campsites, includes the water attraction and the activities for the kids. If you were to pay for all of these things separately you would end up spending the same if not more. Highly recommend!
