Nice small, well maintained RV park in commercial area of Martinsville on Business Hwy 58. Located on the Smith River with hiking trails. Restuants and shopping nearby. Park has both pull-through and back-in sites. Our site was a paved pull-through with plenty of space for the slides; length was good for our 36 ft 5er, tow pickup plus a car. No problem with utilities. Trash can at site. Management was very helpful and guided us to the site. We stayed only two nights, so did not have the time to... Read More

We stayed only two nights, so did not have the time to visit all the area attractions, but historic downtown was just a short drive away and looked very interesting. Overall a very good experience. Would definitely return.

Nice people when you check in but the side was not big enough to put awning out. The web site states fire ring, table and garbage can on every site but we did not have any of them, also the wifi only worked 50% of the time and was VERY slow.
We stayed here for 4 nights over a weekend in April. Our site was backed up right to the river, so it was nice to have that to look at when sitting outside. We chatted with some people that put in kayaks there at the campground and went several miles down river. It looks like it would be a great river to kayak or float. The people in the office are very nice, but it was a bit confusing when we pulled off of the main road as to which way we were suppose to turn to get to the office. A few... Read More

The people in the office are very nice, but it was a bit confusing when we pulled off of the main road as to which way we were suppose to turn to get to the office. A few signs with arrows directing which way to go would be helpful, but not the end of the world. We were escorted to our site by the staff.
The bath rooms and laundry room were as clean as any RV park I have ever seen. There are two washers and dryers in the laundry as well as a sitting area in that building that has wifi and very comfy sofas and other furniture. It's like going into a small house. That building also housed bathrooms and it is like a full bathrooms in a regular house and EXTREMELY clean.
They do not sell ice or anything else on the property which would be nice, but you are in town, so it's not too far down the road to a grocery and gas stations as well as restaurants. There are fire rings and wood available if you want it. There are trash cans with liners and lids at every site.
This park is in the middle of town, but the road sits up above the park and it has the river on the back side, so the noise is not much at all. It is very well taken care of and just a nice park, especially if you need to be in the area to do something else other than camping. There is not a playground or anything like that for kids.
We stayed here in a 40' 5th wheel and are full time RVers

Very friendly campground located on edge of town, food and gas, etc. close by. Park has gravel sites, with concrete patio pads and all hookups in good shape. Only one washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat nearby. Bathrooms clean. Trashcans at each site and good elbow room and space to park. Campground manager is very helpful and went out of her way to get us local information on places we wanted to visit. We would definitely stay here again.
