They advertise internet but it only exists near the office. The cable tv does not work.
Worst place ever, bad power, bad water had to change filters every2-3 weeks, low pressure. Pond is nasty. No paddle boats, bugs like crazy. no rec room, closed bathrooms in one section and wouldn't open. Other restrooms need total overhaul, showers are stained and nasty looking. No more military discounts, picnic pavilion is storage area for one maintenance man, broken picnic tables. Landscaping maybe once every 6 weeks at your site. Was a quite park and has potential if owners would put money into... Read More

I’m a snowbird and regularly stay at South Forty on my way to and from Florida. It’s right off I-95, quiet, and Shakers restaurant is right at the entrance. We haven’t used the facilities but have not ever had any issues with the water, electric, or sewer. The sites aren’t paved but they are fine, easy to get level, and easy to get on and off.
We stayed here overnight going to and from the beach. Location is great, very near I-95. Pull through sites are roomy and accessible, but you may need to do some leveling side to side. Full hook ups worked great. My son loved the pool. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They worked to make last minutes changes to our reservations to accommodate us arriving a day earlier. We noticed that between our stays, they were making improvements to some of the sites.
We stayed 1 night at this quiet RV park that is right off RT 95 on our way to SC. Even that close to the highway we felt like we were in the country and road noise was at a minimum. The road going in has many speed bump and is quite rough, otherwise the roads are dirt& gravel but we had no trouble getting to our site which was dry and level. Did not need to unhook our towed vehicle. Staff friendly and helpful. Hookups worked fine. Pool was closed and didn't use the bathrooms. Good for an overnight... Read More

Gave it 5 stars for appeal as it is so close to 95.

This campground is in a state of neglect, disrepair and decay. The pictures on their website must have been taken ten years ago because it looks nothing like that. When we pulled into the site we reserved, it was flooded due to a leaking pipe on another site. They moved us but no one came to fix the leak so we had to navigate running water and puddles the 3 days we were there. Several sites were "under construction" around us with mounds of dirt and debris everywhere. As other folks have mentioned... Read More

Several sites were "under construction" around us with mounds of dirt and debris everywhere. As other folks have mentioned the restrooms are so repulsive that we used them only when absolutely necessary. The only men's restroom was closed for renovation but no one worked on it while we were there. Can't believe this is a Good Sam Park.

Sitting hear listening to Manager of park running a backhoe on the sites in front of us!!! No notice of construction. Spoke to office and was told he didn't care about the disruption of our experience. Inconsiderate and ignorant as far as a business that promotes a peaceful, relaxing experience. New slogan: " if you love the sound of construction and the smell and mess of dust, this is the place for you......"
Very disappointed with South 40 CG. I asked 3 times before arrival to be sure I'd have a LEVEL pull through. The site I was given was 4" off level side to side. I paid for water and electric. There was no water available at my site or any of the nearby sites. Exasperating this problem was the fact that the bathrooms were so NASTY that no-one was using them. I reserved and received a 30amp site. I was charged for a 50 amp site. There was trash on the ground on my site (and several others). The worst... Read More

The worst part is that the office closed right after I checked in so I called and left a message about the problems and asking for assistance with getting water. It has now been 12 days since my call and I STILL HAVE NOT HAD THE COURTESY OF A RETURN CALL! I can't believe the is a Good Sam campground. I give one star only because no stars is not an option.

Clean. Comfortable. Safe. Little restaurant on site with good food and nice help. Did not use their facilities so cannot comment on them. Recommend. Would stay there again.
A lot of broken toilets and only one working washing machine.
The campground itself "appeared" to have curb appeal but under the surface was gross. The bathrooms were very dirty and some showers were not even operating properly. Toilets were rusted. Not sure how this is a good Sam's property but it certainly doesn't deserve to be. If you must stay here use flip flops in the bathrooms for sure.
