What a wonderful place! The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. It's not far off the highway, but it was quiet and peaceful. The spaces are roomy with much more privacy than any other park we have visited. In fact, we were hardly even aware we had neighbors--couldn't really see or hear them. This place is in our short list of favorites and we would definitely be glad to pay a return visit.

A gem in the rough just a half mile off of I5. Family owned, each campsite is nestled among tall pines. Road among the campsites is narrow and can be a bit tight in spots if you have a longer rig. Navigating into some camp sites can be challenging, however the hosts will gladly assist. Most sites are somewhat narrow as they are flanked by the many trees. Plenty of room for slide outs and lots of privacy. You'd swear you're in the mountains! Sites are not paved, nor gravel so if there's a good rain,... Read More

Navigating into some camp sites can be challenging, however the hosts will gladly assist. Most sites are somewhat narrow as they are flanked by the many trees. Plenty of room for slide outs and lots of privacy. You'd swear you're in the mountains! Sites are not paved, nor gravel so if there's a good rain, you might get some puddles to deal with. Limited number of sites have full hookups. Dump station on site as well as pool, laundry, small store, propane and firewood. Nothing is within walking distance so just enjoy the peace and quiet. If the air is completely still, you can hear very faint freeway noise. Very faint. ACE hardware just 1/4 mi away and big rig fuel stop with Mickey D's at the freeway entrance. Sometimes, artillery practice is heard from Ft. Lewis /McCord military base many miles distant. The sound of 155mm howitzers does carry a bit! Not annoying, just different. They have a facebook page announcing upcoming training events. You'll get more noise from the occasional falling pinecones! Deer sometime stroll the park. A military discount is offered. That's it. Full hookup sites are $40 per night plus tax and if you stay for a month will set you back $1,200+. No weekly nor monthly discount making this an expensive place for any sort of extended stay. A very peaceful setting. Only 5 miles south of the capital Olympia. WiFi is available only near the office. Table and chairs in the laundry room if you have online work to get caught up with. Costco, Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer stores just 2 mi north on I5. Hayrides are offered on weekends which the kids enjoy. Huge pavilion with grass area at rear of the park.
