Beautiful campground, quiet. My site not level and somewhat precarious. Laundry and bath house more than adequate. Asked for monthly rate because it’s obvious some others have been here awhile but I was denied.
My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Rifrafters while in the area to visit New River Gorge National Park. Upon arrival the staff was very welcoming and helpful. We were escorted to our site and guided as we backed in. We hiked along the path around the campground. We used the very reasonably priced laundry. We also found the showers to be above average with plenty of hot water. We would stay there again!
Beautiful, level site with pad and full hookup. Very helpful host staff. Bath house a bit dated but functional and clean
We stayed 4 nights. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were guided to our site and was assisted backing in the RV to the site. I had some trouble hooking up my sewer connection, the staff member assisted me and gave me some very helpful advice. The park was quiet and very well attended to. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. Hiking trails were not difficult at all. However, the trail to the dogpark was a very steep hill. Overall, we had an excellent stay and will... Read More

I booked a site about 3 months ago and when I arrived at the campground, i noticed my site didn’t have a sewage hookup. I only stayed one night, but didn’t want to have to use the dump station. I talked to office personnel and they gladly put me in a site with sewage. No fuss, they just did it. I am staying there again for one night on May 30 and they changed my site for me. The bathroom is clean and the wifi is very good. I definitely would recommend this campground to stay at.
Great level spots and nice maintained park. Reason for the 3 star ratings is: - entrance/check in area is tight and narrow and could get very congested. You enter on a slope and the dump station is on a downward slope. - their policy for an early checkin leaves no room for flexibility. We arrived one hour early on 11/2 and they wanted to charge us $10 for the early check-in (NO ONE WAS COMING IN OR OUT- it is fall and not congested). But owner related she was eating lunch but could do it for... Read More

But owner related she was eating lunch but could do it for the additional fee and that was their new policy for 2022. We left and came back. She was pleasant and hospitable but inflexible on that fee.
Thank you for a clean campground close to the area’s sites.

Any RV/Camper who rates this facility 7 is administering non-prescription drugs on a regular basis. The location to the New River Gorge NP is the most positive aspect. And yes, there's plenty of shade. Access is tight coming off WV 19. We have a 37 ft Class A with toad. Pull through.....forget about it. Sites are combo rock or payment but overall level. They have cable hook-up but it's non-functional. We called about it and the reason we received was because we "have a class A". Please! WiFi?....We... Read More

WiFi?....We have a T-Mobile router so not sure of the connection. Satellite connection...nope. Worse part was the placement the transient Class A's. It's the most bizarre. Tail ends together, semi circle, so the fire rings are 12ft apart and facing each other....seriously? Come up to 2022 standards. No dog park and no dog poop disposal stands with extra bags. The lone dumpster is at the front. Wouldn't return.

Very well run and friendly campground. Convenient to all the river and national park activities. Having owned a big rig before, I would not recommend for a big diesel pusher as the roads are really narrow.
Stayed here while visiting the New River Gorge National Park. Location is perfect! Owners friendly and willing to help with any of your questions. Would recommend.
This is THE campground for the New River Gorge! Fantastic sites in a beautiful setting. Convenient to the rafting and all the hiking. The sites in back are fantastic and the owners are very responsible. This is a must stay in an amazing place.
Extremely nice campground. Showers are nice, not perfect but nice. There is not much for a store, but everything is nearby. Nice facilities. Everything is either new or being renovated. Great people. Close to outdoor activities.
