Great basecamp for Bayfield and Lake Superior activities. 30 minutes from Meyers Beach and the Lake Superior sea caves. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed at 2 different sites. The older section has smaller sites but is more secluded from other sites. The newer section is more open, with larger sites and a view of the lake. We had unexpected car trouble and had to extend our stay and switch sites. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating. They even found a local mechanic... Read More

They even found a local mechanic to come out on a Sunday and try and help with our car problem. Added bonus: BART (public transport) is available and will take you into Bayfield or even Ashland or Washburn for only a few bucks. I would definitely stay here again. 31 foot RV towing.

I am writing this review about the older section of the campground. The newer, huge sites on the swim pond were not available. We stayed in site #22. The site is very, very close to the campsite on the driver's side of the camper. When we hooked up we were almost in our neighbor's firepit. It was unfortunate that the people who occupied the site were all gathered around their firepit (6 adults) at 3 in the afternoon and were glaring at us as we hooked up our electric and water. We did not hook up... Read More

We did not hook up our sewer hose at that time. The individual sites are level, but the driveway into this section is a bit steep. My recommendation for this campground is to book early (we didn't) and get a campsite in the new section where the sites are roomy, shaded and most are pull throughs. The campground owners do keep the bathrooms clean. The campground was quiet at night.

A beautiful setting. Bayfield has great charm. This RV Park has been expanded. We had made the booking for the wrong day but staff were able and willing to accommodate us, and even in a better site than we had booked. Little dusty due to the new roads in the new portion, but the facilities are very good. To us, it is better than the Good Sam ratings.

Spent a few nights here and attended a concert at the Big Top Venue nearby. Loved this campground. Close to the Apostle Island Ferry in Bayfield. Nice shaded sites that are not cramped. Bath and shower facilities are nice and clean. New area is open with a swimming pond. New area is more elevated and some sites have a view of Lake Superior. The Big Top venue has a shuttle that picks up at the campground making it convenient to attend the amazing lineup of attractions appearing there. Definitely... Read More

Overall good experience Didn't rate restrooms because we had full hookups. Stayed 4 nights, used as base to surrounding area. Very peaceful park, well maintained..

Nice sites, lots of trees, good location for Apostle Island exploration but it is several miles to the National Lakeshore even though the visitors center is in town. Bayfield is a quaint and fun town. Bathrooms are almost "outdoors", and camp store is OK.
