Great family camping. This is an old rv park that is well maintained with new power stands and water hydrants. The old shower and rest rooms are freshly painted and clean. This park is more a kin to a state park with widely spaced sites, grass and shade. Very well managed family owned park.
Been camping many years, at many camp grounds and find this is our favorite. If you are the whoop howling brawling camper, this isn't the place for you. We love the safe family feel, great fishing and swimming lake. They have a wonderful beach, park, raft, diving board and play ground for the kids and something for everyone . Safety rules are high on a list for good reason. We find this is a great campground close to the best hiking, biking and the best parks you will see anywhere. The park is clean... Read More

. Safety rules are high on a list for good reason. We find this is a great campground close to the best hiking, biking and the best parks you will see anywhere. The park is clean and well kept. The owners pay attention to the many details for having great sites that accommodate everything from tents to large motorhomes. I hope to question people to find out what would improve the park and inform the owners. One thing I have found that people do like is the quietness of the park and how accommodating the owners are. Many times I have seen the owners go out of their way to help the campers navigate their units into the parking spots. Most sites have full hook up and a few for the tents don't have it, but all have water and electricity.
We have found wonderful parks and hiking/biking trails because we are geocachers. West Bend is one of the largest areas for geocaching with over 3,000 hides and has a international geocaching fest every year in August. West Bend is also a short distance from many activities and cities that have many activities if a person is so interested. Don't past this campground up, it is a great place and the owners really put much effort to make this
park safe, clean and enjoyable to all.

We asked for a tent site near a bathroom/wash house. The tent site was surrounded by overgrown jungle with standing green marsh water . All night, blackhawk helicopters traveled overhead. The washhouse has been reduced to 1toilet, 1 shower and one sink with no counter. It was also too far away. It looks like the washhouse has been cut back and reduced and the surrounding land sold off for rundown shacks. Since we are both combat Vets of the Vietnam war, we got no sleep. We booked for 3 nights and left early the next morning. The staff was very pleasant and friendly but what I saw was not nearly Good Sam quality. It appears that there is more campgound farther back from our tent site. I cannot confirm this. The charges were excessive. I will never consider this campground again. I have lined it out of my Good Sam catalogue.
