This is a National Park Service campground with full hook-ups, NOT an RV park. it's location is about 3 miles south of the southern entrance to Yellowstone, and about 6 miles north of the northern entrance to Grand Tetons. Equally inconvenient to both [be prepared for a lot of driving if you use this as a home base for both parks: in Yellowstone, Old Faithful was more than an hour drive (made longer with road construction), and Grant Village was about 40 minutes. For Grand Tetons, Colter Bay Village is about 30 minutes, and Jenny Lake is close to an hour.] But that's probably why I could get reservations in August on short notice when all other campgrounds were full... It was PRICEY at $102/night, but I guess that's the going rate for full hookups in Tetons or Yellowstone. The cabins would have been a more economical option at only $99 or dry camping for $52. As far as NPS campgrounds go, it's adequate. Roads and sites are dirt and gravel, which can get dusty, especially when vehicles travel more than 5-10 MPH. Our site was reasonably level, and all our hookups worked well. There is no WiFi, but we had sufficient cell coverage with AT&T to have adequate internet. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and although they had laundry facilities, we didn't need or use them. Just outside the campground is a lodge with gas station, a small convenience store and restaurant. To my surprise, the gas station had diesel fuel for cheaper than in Jackson!

Dirt or mud roads. Campsites are small. Maneuvering in the campground was tight. Good location for seeing both Yellowstone and Tetons parks. Fuel and restaurant near by.

Good location if visiting both Yellowstone and Tetons. All pull thru sites. No WIFI! Expensive laundry fees. Free hot showers!

Great facility, great check-in with very knowledgable and professional staff. Very nice gift shop, restaurant, and small but well stocked convenience store. Sites were in wooded area and shaded but slides and awnings were not impeded. A well run, excellent campground. Perfect for our 6-night stay and exploration of both Yellowstone and Teton NP's. Cannot recommend this one highly enough for National Park treks.

We stayed at the Flagg Ranch RV Park in July 2018 in a 36' fifth wheel. We arrived early and the front desk told us we would just have to come back. We were able to drop our camper in the Lodge overflow lot and the people in the Lodge were more helpful. The location is not close to either Yellowstone or the bigger attractions in the Grand Tetons. The site was level and easy in/out but the sewer dump was 18 inches above ground making dumping very hard. It is VERY dusty. There is NO internet connection,... Read More

I was wondering why this facility was somewhat easier to get into compared to the other local RV facilities. I have actively RV'd for more than 10 years and it is clear that Flagg Ranch is a DUMP. It is the worst RV facility I have ever stayed at. Roads are dirt which kicks up tremendous dust and have LARGE potholes throughout the entire road system. I mean potholes everywhere. It is clear that management has no regard for the quality of product and has allowed significant deferral of upkeep.... Read More

The frame of the box was unbolted and I had to "Jerry rig" it back together. The dust was so bad, we could not sit outside. Every time a vehicle came by you were coated in dirt. I can only emagine how bad the mud would be on the roads and sites when it rained. We had a three day reservation and after one day left. I assume this facility is government owned and leased to a third party vendor who is sucking every dollar of profit out of it that it can. It is a shame that in such a historic and beautiful area, this dismal facility is operated. Typical government, no oversight, no attention to the performance of its vendor. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

This is an amazing campground! It is all gravel, but we prefer a more rustic campground so it was perfect for us. We were in a 600 site and the view (Grand Tetons) from our 5th wheel was fantastic. There is an onsite small grocery store and gas/diesel station. The staff everywhere was very friendly and helpful. When it rains, there are huge puddles around the trash bins:-( You did have to drive to Jackson Lodge (30 min. away) for Internet access. We stayed in a 42 ft. 5th wheel. We would definitely... People at nearby lodge were very helpful with information about the area and wildlife viewing. (Saw deer, elk, grizzly bears, moose, eagles, river otter, and buffalo. :o) Park was mostly full even after Labor Day. Mostly quiet but not heavily treed so we felt like we were camped in a trailer park. Guess we prefer a more wilderness-like setting, although due to the weird lay-out, it was very easy to get lost in the park after dark! And we weren't the only ones we saw wondering around looking for their rig. ;oD I think RV parks near the west entrance to Yellowstone might be a better deal (more amenities) and closer to prime Yellowstone attractions.

Stayed at the Headwaters RV park last August and August 2015. The fees are somewhat high for a dirt RV park, but, location, location. The sites are dirt and mostly pull-thru and somewhat level. Some may be a little cramped for slideouts. Downside is after rain storms, some sites become very waterlogged. Sewer hoses need to be supported to drain properly. Restroom and shower facilities need some serious upkeep along with the roads and campsites. The campground is clean a quiet.
