This was a very nice surprise after our many poor to fair campgrounds while traveling through British Columbia and Yukon. The park is in a beautiful valley with many trees and awesome mountains. The spaces are wide with trees, grass and wildflowers between sites. Nights were very quiet and peaceful. Even though the park was full, it didnt feel like it. The campground is designed with the theme of an old mining camp with old buildings and a collection of vehicles and equipment.
We camped at Discovery Yukon RV Park one night the 4th week of May 2018. Very convenient access along the Alaska Highway. The owner of the park honored our reservation even though the Park was still working to get opened for the season when we arrived. They were having some problems with a failed water pump, frozen sewer lines and her computer system was "down". I appreciate how well we were taken care in the midst of the chaos they were dealing with. We filled our water tank at the main building... Read More

I appreciate how well we were taken care in the midst of the chaos they were dealing with. We filled our water tank at the main building and pulled into a wonderful campsite site facing a grass runway with mountains in the background! WOW!! This park is fantastic! Historic old military vehicles from the building of the Alaska Highway are displayed throughout the camp. Our campsite had full hook ups for water, sewer and 30 amp electric. If you go outside of your RV and enjoy the park and your surroundings, you won't miss not having cell service, TV or WiFi. Very quiet and peaceful. Due to the season-opening issues the park was dealing with, we didn't use any public restroom or showers and the restaurant wasn't available during our stay. This is a must stop on the Alaska Highway! Rated a 5 because the scale doesn't go any higher!

A little slice of heaven in northwest Canada terrific views, quiet campground, super friendly hosts and owners. Full hook ups and pull throughs available. Be prepared, though, for limited electrics (they run generators for 30 Amp power), no cable, no OTA TV, WIFI only at the main lodge, and limited if any cell service. Nearest restaurant is in Beaver Creek, 33 miles to the west, so have supplies to survive a night or two. Perfect place for relaxing after a day of driving the Alcan, great for... Read More

Wonderfully friendly and accommodating hosts. Weather had been raining for days and internet connections terrible due to weather. Problems with credit card check in but were resolved. Plenty of room in our site, plenty of room to walk the dog. Were very pleased with this campground.
Great camp ground. Staff are friendly. Grounds clean, sites level and great view. Large field for Dogs to play catch.
This was a very nice campground to stop in before coming back home to Alaska. The site was level and one of the easiest ones I encountered on this trip to get into. Road was well-maintained. This was an interesting place to explore. There is a dirt airstrip near where we parked, but no noise from aircraft while we were there. Lots of old US Army historical relics scattered around the park and a good place to walk the dogs. Restrooms & showers were clean and well-kept. Water was hot. The... Read More

Wifi hotspot was at the main building. None at the campsite. However, I will be stopping here again.

It was a long day of driving when we came across this RV campground just south of Beaver Creek, near the Canada/US border. We are so glad we stopped!!! What a wonderful host and campground. This was the site that US Army officers used when they were building the Alaska Highway in the 1940's. The facilities are excellent and the main office is wonderfully decorated. You can walk around the site and view old relics from the 40's. We will definitely be coming back!
