Very disappointed with this park. The layout is awful. It’s extremely crowded, very difficult to maneuver vehicles within the park. Pull-thrus, although technically pull thrus, are so short you must disconnect, and even then, it’s difficult to fit your towed vehicle in without encroaching on other’s site. Our neighbor’s awning hung over over jeep. There was no other way to configure it. Also, at one point, the power went out. We were told by staff it goes out all the time. I’m not sure what other... Stayed 1 night on our way back to Alaska. Easy check in, bathrooms was clean. Did not use the shower but they looked clean. Very quiet. Would and will stay there again.
Easy to get in /out, good Wi-Fi, clean restrooms and showers. Close to town and just off the highway.
Nice campground that does a decent job of providing some separation even when busy. Easy access and convenient location to visit Whitehorse. Whitehorse is definitely worth a layover rest day to explore.
We camped at the Hi Country RV Park for 2 nights during the third week of May 2018. It's a nice RV park just off the Alaska Highway and only a couple of Km outside of downtown Whitehorse very convenient. The main building is a very attractive log building. The staff member who checked us in was very friendly, something we have found to be universal in our travels across Canada! The camp store was well stocked with some grocery, camping items and souvenirs. RVs were a little more closely packed... Read More

The staff member who checked us in was very friendly, something we have found to be universal in our travels across Canada! The camp store was well stocked with some grocery, camping items and souvenirs. RVs were a little more closely packed than I like. The park has maintained trees between most every campsite, which is great for esthetics. Unfortunately, the trees made it a bit of a challenge to get my large 5th wheel trailer into and out of the narrow pull-through site we had. Our site was far from level. I had to use too many leveling blocks to keep my wheels on the ground as my hydraulic auto leveling system strained to level our trailer. The front of our rig was "on stilts" by the time we were level. We were parked on the end of a row giving us a nice view out our windows, but that subjected us to more traffic and dust. Once parked we had water, sewer and 50 amp electric at our campsite for a reasonable $32.50 (USD) per night. We did not use their restroom or showers. I would stay here again, this is a nice park. However, because of the narrow and un-level campsites I would also consider one of the other RV campsites in the area the next time through Whitehorse, YT.

Whitehorse is a good place to stop, rest up and stock up. Reviews below commented on over flowing trash and the dump station in the center of RV sites. Ditto to both of those less than flattering comments, especially the dump station. Backed our 5er into a large enough site with room for pickup also. Had to get the trimmer out, though, to knock back enough branches to push the slides out. Closest RV park to town and the large number of restaurants, fuel stations and retail stores available.... Nice large park on highway but very convenient to Whitehorse business and town center. Wooded sites were well laid out. We did a tour which actually picked us up at the park - very convenient.
32ft SuperC w/2 slideouts cannot use one, as site too small. 15 amp, no sewer, WiFi free for 30 minutes thereafter pay, no broadcast Tv, no cable. Upgrade to pull-thru full-svc hookup not avail, as these reserved for Class A. 5th wheel rigs must park pulling vehicle in throughfare which makes egress in morning dicey.
Very busy and popular site, probably the best in Whitehorse, about 2 miles from the town, where there is lots to do, places to eat and grocery stores. Very good and clean restrooms. Many sites are cramped and can take some maneuvering to get in with space for slide outs. Be careful not to take a site opposite the office as you will be on top of the main road! Try to get a site at the back, which we did both times. The dump station is in the middle of the park, not very nice for those with sites... Read More

Willing staff and they appear to be run off their feet most of the time with a queue for service. Good store though. Excellent, if expensive, laundry.
There is only wifi around the office and it is slow, as on all Yukon sites. Good wifi at the Whitehorse Information Office.
Whitehorse is well worth a visit and one of the few places in the Yukon where you can really stock up. The Klondike Rib and Salmon restaurant is well worth a visit, but you may have to wait up to an hour to get a table in the evening.

There didn't seem to be much attention spent on garbage pickup. One occasion garbage blew around for at least 24 hrs and nothing was done about garbage left in fire pits in camping sites after people left. The power pedestal in site 112 shared the water tap as well. On another site behind us a loose water hose was spraying on the electrical outlet. The campers were complaining about a tingle on the ground near it. I went over a told them to tighten water hose. There comment was it was only 110.... Read More

It can also kill and I feel it should be a safe distance from water connection , not sharing the same small post. Dust and speed was not addressed in campground area and we ate lots of dust when we were there early August.

We had no reservations and we paid the consequences, we got a back-in site that was way too close to the neighbors and water/electric only. My ratings reflect my personal experience with the site I had. Looked like all the sites are close together. There are many trees, so there is some shade. Whitehorse is a bigger town than most along the Alaskan highway, there is a Wal-mart and large grocery store. Gas is cheaper here. If I had to, I would stay here again, though I would make reservations for... Read More

We were very disappointed in the site we were assigned. The dump station was directly across the street from us and as you can imagine it was quite smelly. We had reserved a site for 2 nights several months ago, We set up our unit and as we did so we could smell the dumping station and looking around it was directly across the street for our site about 15 feet away. In talking to the people at the desk it seemed to fall on deaf ears and the response was that the way it is. I cannot imagine who ever... Read More

I cannot imagine who ever designed the camp ground putting the dumping station so close to the camp sites. If you go there and are given sites 62, 63, 64, 65, refuse them, they stink, you cannot spend any time outside.

This was a very nice park with a couple of clean trails to walk your dogs. Poop bags were available along with a can to dump them into. The park was clean and well-maintained. It had a small laundromat and the majority of the machines worked well. Bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water. WiFi was good, not great, but got the job done. There is a fee to use it. The parking space entry was a little tight, but do-able even for a novice driver like me. The road in to the spaces... Read More

The park is in a wooded setting, so you don't feel like you are parked in your neighbor's lap. Staff was great. They were very helpful and efficient. Nice gift shop as well.

Great place to stop when coming through Whitehorse, 5 minutes to town by car and lots to see and do, also save room for some great food at local restaurants. The Staff at Hi Country are great and very helpful with suggestions of things to do around town. The park is in a wooded setting well organized and maintained, also nice and quiet at night. Will definetely stay here again!!
Very clean park. The office is well stocked with necessities. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable about the local area. There is an adequate area to walk our dog. The parking spaces are a little cramped, but not unreasonably so. The dump station was easily accessable from any direction, although the location is not the most ideal. It is located right beside the office. Which means that you have to pass by it when ever you have to go to the office. We will definitely stop there the... Read More
